Connecting from Toronto?

If you are trying to use our services from the Toronto region, we are aware of connectivity issue leading to dropped packets and latency. Taking a look at the path, it looks like twelve99 is having issues in Chicago. There is nothing that we can do on our to fix this and are stuck waiting it out.

Hopefully this will clear up shortly and things will go back to normal.

Network Changes

There may be some connectivity hiccups throughout the evening as we are working on moving some interfaces around and restructuring parts of the network based off of lessons learned and changes that should have been implemented a year or two ago.

We are doing our best to minimize down time, but some routers will have to be rebooted as we go along.

Website updates and NMP changes

Project members and guest should take a moment to review our Network Management Policy as some of the details within have changed. The changes should not directly affect any connected endpoints but it is better that ya’ll stay informed.

Bigger Changes:
* FurrIX will no longer provide temporary services to public end users; only our members and guest.
* FurrIX will no longer offer peering and cross project routing with other projects. This lessens our workload and lowers the traffic crossing our network.
* MFN has lowered the monthly data bucket to 600GB per month after reviewing the past three months of traffic patterns.

As for our website changes, we have update our about, FAQ and team pages to reflect the current state of our operations. Give those pages a quick read through when you have a moment.
